Fun Day: We have fun at Sequoia!

Each year, we celebrate our team members through “Employee Appreciation Week” full of events and reminders to our team that we care about them. The culmination of the week is “Fun Day” (a Company Picnic of sorts) where our team members all gather together for a paid day of fun in the sun. There’s good food, good company and some pretty funny contests or relays. Family members and close friends join in the fun, too!

Holiday Luncheon: We celebrate our successes

This is the one time in the year that the entire company gathers together to reflect upon the past year, celebrate successes, and get a sneak peek at what’s to come in the New Year.  Past luncheons have been held at the Blackhawk Automotive Museum in Danville, CA and the Claremont Resort in Berkeley, CA. Yes, they are held in Northern California near the Corporate Office. And, yes, that means we fly our Southern California employees up for the day to attend the festivities. It’s important to us that we get to celebrate together.

The Luncheon is also where we hand out our Spirit of Sequoia year end awards and hold our annual raffle (see below).

Rewards Program: We reward our employees

The Sequoia Collectible is our peer to peer recognition program focused on internal customer service.  It’s also a great vehicle to have fun and network with your peers.  Each one of our team members are armed with “S Cards”.  You give them out when a fellow team member helps you out.  These coveted “S Cards” are turned in for raffle tickets to our annual raffle at the Holiday Luncheon.  Some of the past prizes include a Nintendo Wii, digital camera, $1000 worth of airplane tickets, and a 52” flat screen TV.
